Are the Brevard OF'ers Losing Luster?

Ford, Fermaint, Cain, Caufield are supposed to be legitimate prospects. Caufield is doing the best, but his OPS is still below .700. After a good start, Ford is now batting .227. His Strikeout-to-power ratio is at Krynzel levels.

 

I know it's a long season, and it's hard to hit in Brevard, but their performance has been disappointing to say the least.

They're "toolsy" guys rather than great natural hitters. It's not all that surprising when guys like that struggle to hit. Many before them have fallen by the wayside.

Isn't tool #1 hitting for average?

By "fallen by the wayside" do you mean they are proving they are no longer tracking towards the majors, or just a bump in the road?
