What kind of MLB player could each bring on their own? Sorry, if this was already discussed, I haven't been able to locate it.

I would not even think about trading LaPorta. Gamel maybe, but even he might not be worth trading. Especially the way Billy Hall can't seem to hit righties we may see Gamel up and starting at 3B next season.

I'm pretty sure it has been brought up in the trade rumors, but i would guess combined they would bring in a #1 starter.

 

If you split them up, maybe a 4/5 starter.
