Lindsay Gulin

I was just looking at Gulin's career. With teams needing pitching, it's incredible that a guy with 90-53 minor league record (not counting time spent in indy ball) including 46 wins at AA or higher, a career 3.51 ERA, nearly a K per inning in over 1,200 innings, has never gotten a cup of coffee in the majors.

Maybe 2009 will be his year.

If he were right-handed, I could see why he's never gotten a shot, but since he's left-handed, it is all the more strange. He's a very soft tosser, topping out at around 82-83 MPH. Can't argue with the results though. He's a non-roster invitee to Brewers' camp, so we'll see. I hope 2009 is his year.

Wow, 82-83 MPH. That's slower than I pitched back in college. He must have incredible control if that's all he can bring it at. For most Major Leaguers, I would think that would look like a BP Fastball.

I would think a guy like that would be much more effective coming out of the pen. In the Doug Jones mold.
