Pretty decent deal, good buy low after a injury plagued year (chest, knee).

 

The Rangers have a very nice offense in a very hitter friendly ballpark.

wow, pretty good deal. What am i missing here? As long as this guy doesn't have a spitting incident, extamartial affair or leave a bad tip at TGI Fridays he is a sure bet for the HOF. A one-year commitment for under 6 mil. Thats all, come on Doug we could have overbid that. how many season tickets could this signing have brought in? I know i would have absolutely loved the deal. He says hes only 34 and in his last season, by far the worst of his career, he was still very productive.

I don't think Vlad should be playing the field any more; the NL would not be a good fit.

He didn't even earn 1 WAR last year so if he repeats what he did last year this is overpaying him. I really don't think the NL would work for him.
