Looks like a good deal to me. Maybe a little better bat than Cuddyer at an affordable price. He's getting a bit old, so I guess there's a risk involved, but corner outfielders can stand out there into their mid 30's without hurting the team too much, as long as the bat stays useful.

I am just surprised they used the money on a bat instead of a pitcher. Their rotation was a mess last year and they dont have much help in the minors. Willingham hits for good power and that team is sorely lacking a power bat. He is not as valuable as Cuddyer to me simply because Cuddyer can play anywhere. Willingham is 33 and will be 36 at the end of the deal but overall seems like a decent signing

With the injury history this is one of those contracts that could look like a huge bargain or a colossal blunder just depending on health.
