RIP Ed Farmer

RIP to 1978 Brewers pitcher Ed Farmer. Ed spent only one of his eleven Major League seasons in Milwaukee but did go 1-0 with the Crew. He had been an announcer with the White Sox starting in 1992 through the 2019 season.

I enjoyed hearing him broadcast White Sox games. He had a good sense of humor and seemed to enjoy life, despite having very serious health problems for a very long time.

By all accounts a great guy who grew up on the south side of Chicago and pitched for his home town team and spent 3 decades in the radio booth. He kind of mirrors Uke in many respects.
