question re: uniform numbers

Not a highly consequential question, but the Brewers' website lacks this info:

 

Esp. for those in Arizona, does anyone know yet the uniform numbers of these new Brewer pitchers?

According to the yahoo page, Looper will have #41 and Wright will have #46. Nothing on Green.

On the subject of uniform numbers ...

Does anyone know why Manny Parra switched to #26 this season? If he is partial to that number, couldn't he have had it last year after it was vacated by Damian Miller? Iribarren did not start wearing it until his call-up.


I noticed a few other number changes on the Brewers' website, but they were all by less established players who I'm sure took whatever they could get after their call-ups / signings.

Angel Salome- #50 to #13
Hernan Iribarren- #26 to #9
Mike Lamb- #46 to #20
Brad Nelson- #40 to #27 (because of Macha?)

i know he wore it in the minors and was a 26th round pick. not sure why the switch wasn't made last season though.

I asked him that myself on Sunday and he told me that it has personal reasons. I asked him if it had to do with family and he said no, but it keeps him focused. My guess is it has to do with his draft round.

Dmiles- thanks for the link! I think that Parra was wearing #26 when he pitched his perfect game in AAA. (I could be wrong, it could have been #29 ... one of those two).
