Capuano so far

It looks like Capuano has pitched well so far in his starts at Brevard (12k, 0 BB in 9.7 IP. Has anyone seen any reports on his velocity (not that it was ever that high)? Do we know if his arm strength is close to his previous form and is he using all of his pitches? I admit not knowing how to locate any pitch fx type data for minor league games. I know he is still a long shot to ever make it back to the majors, but I still am rooting for him.

I believe reports were that he was around 87 mph on his fastball. That is pretty much the same prior to his injury.

He did have a "flare up" out of spring training that caused him to be shut down for awhile.

They announced the other day that he's going to have one more appearance with Brevard, then head to AAA.

It was only A+ ball, but very encouraging how well he pitched. Be interesting to see how he fairs at AAA in Nashville. I have always liked Cappy, really rooting for him to make it all the way back at some point.

Excellent news on Cappy...

Cool, soon we can get our 4 Lefty+Gallardo starting lineup going!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
