I'm surprised. I knew the Brewers had been telling teams they were "open" to trading him, but I didn't expect anything to actually happen during the season. Very shocking move. I hope the prospects being returned are worth it.

FWIW, I have a PS5 and am watching the game for free on my TV (and it's in 4K). So a game console could be a viewing option for some people.

I've been down on the "over-celebrating" of the '82 Brewers in the past (I found the 25th anniversary stuff in 2007 to be particularly annoying), but this time feels different. 40 years is a long time, and not to be grim, but a few of these folkss likely won't be around for the 50th. Let them have their celebration and let the fans who experienced it remember those good times.

That certain streaming service that starts with a "U" still works as well. I've been using it since last year.

All depends where the family has their tickets. If you're already sitting up in the terrace, this is fine. If you have better seats on the field level, yeah, this is an annoyance.

Great to learn about new things coming for this board...as someone who has been around for about 18 years on this forum, I appreciate the value that is being placed on maintaining the sense of community here.

We should be at least about 20 more years away from any serious discussion of a new stadium. AmFam is a palace. Keep improving it, but there is no need for any chatter about replacing it in the near future.

It will be so weird to not have him being part of the Brewers, even on the periphery. He was such a huge part of making the Brewers a nationally relevant team again, and gave us a ton of good memories. I think hawing is right that they won't officially retire his number, but #8 won't be used by another player for a very long time.

Today I can't bring up the Bally Sports Wisconsin feed on that service that starts with a U. Can get the Cincinnati feed jusf fine, though. I'm hoping this is just a one day glitch and not a permanent change.
