I seriously want to fly to PNC, go into the dugout, and backhand RRR across the face. The contact play makes absolutely zero sense when the infield is in. This is not a hindsight is 20/20, knee jerk fan reaction, it is common fricking sense.

I don't think the contact play is a RR thing, I think it's an organizational thing. The T-Rats run into outs with it all the time, including last inning when Arcia and Taylor got doubled up on the contact play... Arcia between 3rd and home and Taylor going to 2nd.

That is really stupid part of the game that I hate they run out of so many innings . This is something that the FO needs to look like.

In a throw away season like this, Hand did a pretty good job overall. He hasn't blown up like Peralta, Hellweg, Figaro, Burgos, and Fiers.

Axford's ERA now sits under 4 on the season. I highly doubt any of BF thought that was possible when he was at 9ERA before this 19+ip scoreless streak and counting began.
