I want to be excited about Weeks' recent offensive performances, but I've been watching him play the game for too long. He'll get hot for awhile and get everyone excited and then he'll go into a such a funk that he looks lost during every AB. It's the way his entire career has gone.

Weeks got grilled pretty good by the Pirates' announcers. Having listened to a few innings, they're really irritating to listen to.

 

 

Yeah listening online and they're brutal. Had to plug my phone into stereo to listen to WTMJ feed and watch the video on mute. It isn't perfectly in synch but its better than listening to them. Annoying voices and bad commentary.

I don't have the MLB package this year, but I had it many years in the past...and I find many of the opposing teams announcers to be horrible. I have some issues with BA and Bill (mainly Bill) but when you hear teams like the Pirates, it makes you thankful for what we have.

 

So for those watching, the Reynolds throwing error...was that due to the fact that Lucroy is on 1b?

WOW! I jinxed Weeks in a good way... I said it would take him 2 weeks to get 2 XBH and he does it in half the time and with a HR!!!!!! Guys this is so rare I hope it continues then we trade him.

We really need Maldy/Lucroy in the lineup more. They should spend a lot of time getting used to first base so that they can stay in the lineup when the other is catching. This combo paired with a lefty could be a nice platoon at 1B.

I'm in favor of trading Gallardo at mid-season for a big bat and seeing what Thornburg, Fiers, or Nelson can do. They have got to be better than him and last longer in a game.

I now we've won a lot of these type of games, but I just have zero faith in our offense to score any runs. If we give up 3 runs or more, I just assume it's a loss.
