Come on Will Smith, shut them down here please.

 

Not a great start. Smith has been great, but with so many pitchers, I almost would have liked to have seen a RHP brought in for Goldschmidt, though I'm not really sure who.

Uhh, okay apparently there is no strike zone anymore. Everything's a ball, unless you swing and even then it may be a ball.

Wow, that missed him by a couple of inches at least. Umps are really helping us out here these last couple innings. Hopefully Scooter can find a hole.

 

Anyone else nervous about the fact that it's only a 3 run game and we're completely out of bench players? Wasting Overbay sure looks pretty silly right about now huh RR?

I remember that there was some mild outrage a season or two ago when Jeter faked/'sold' that he'd been HBP. I wonder if Maldonado will receive similar scorn.

I love how the umpires have to initiate review at this point in the game, but it's still really coming from the manager.
