Kennedy would have been a good target for the Brewers but knowing how Dombrowski does business he probably overpaid by quite a bit.

Am I the only one that doesn't get the love affair with Gibson? He's been bad to average over 1000+ innings his whole career and now at 33 he's figured something out? His BABIP and H/9 are way low compared to the rest of his career. His BB/9 and K/9 are essentially the same. Seems like he's just had a lot of good luck this year.

He added a cutter this year, which he is throwing around 12.4% of the time, so he's likely better now (3.75 FIP in 2021) than he has been before (4.36 FIP prior to 2021) but still not as good as his current 2.87 ERA.
