The jsonline website itself, since it has to follow the Gannett format, is...lacking, to put it as even-handedly as I can. Following Curt on Twitter (@CyrtHogg), if you roll that way, would be a good way to link to individual articles, and maybe less frustrating than browsing through jsonline dot com.

It seems like most of Tom's co-workers enjoyed him and I'm sure he is a good guy but unfortunately he really didn't have a good grasp on how to handle new age media, specifically Twitter, and in today's game you need to be able to maneuver Twitter if you are a beat writer. I think Curt will be amazing.

I never minded Tom, and overall I've always felt that McCalvy, Rosiak, Sammon, & Tom made a pretty good coverage team.  Haudricourt was entertaining from a Twitter snark perspective, I can get the in-depth news & analysis from the others.  Curt is a good hire, though.

Love this hire. Cyrt has been an excellent follow, listen (when he is on a podcast), and read. Really like them giving him a shot.
