What exactly is his contract status. It has been speculated maybe even confirmed that his contract ran for the same timeframe as Stearns meaning this would be the last year remaining. If this is true why haven't we extended his contract.

Front office stability is very important and we really need to lock up Arnold after seeing Stearns walk out on us. The longer this goes without an extension the more likely that he could leave and even follow his former boss next offseason to New York. We obviously can't compete financially with the big spenders so our only chance of maintaining success is with a front office that is at the top of the league and Arnold after cleaning up the Stearns mess of a Hader deal appears to be that guy so lock Matt Arnold up with a long term contract.

wildspeculation888 strikes again

Nothing wild about asking the contract status of our GM but your comment is oh so funny.

I think there’s a near-zero chance Arnold follows Stearns to New York. Why would he move back into an assistant position when he has full run of the place in Milwaukee?

I definitely want Arnold to stay and I think he will. At most he could move laterally to another organization but why would he do that? He has been in Milwaukee for a long time but has only been the head honcho for a single season.

OP raised a valid question and gets multiple snarky and worthless posts in return. People here need to grow up.

Does anyone know what the status of Arnold's contract is? While I don't think there's a chance he follows Stearns to the Mets to play second fiddle again, it's not out of realm of possibility another higher spending team might be interested in poaching him for their top baseball ops job if his contract is up.

The snarky replies are entirely because of the stupid second paragraph where Brewers888 once again brought up his insane Stearns/Arnold/Mets conspiracy theory baloney.

YOU'RE NOT REQUIRED TO POST STUPID RESPONSES BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH SOMETHING SOMEONE POSTS.

I didn't respond anything so don't know why you are telling me this but Brewers888 could also stop posting their insane Stearns/Arnold/Mets conspiracy theory if they don't want negative comments in return.

OP posed a valid question in the first sentence, and then launched into another one of his trademark speculation-filled inanities.
