Pitcher #1 is Mis and Pitcher #2 is Ty Johnson.

Yes and hopefully cooler weather here in AZ. But the AFL might be a bit of a wet one this year. Well wet in terms of AZ wet weather.

No and that wasn’t the point. The point was with Yelich on the team it is unlikely the Brewers resign Bauers and keep Vaughn. They are more likely to subtract both than keep both. It all has to do with payroll and Yelich is the biggest problem payroll wise.

I don't think there would be a better package. Unless you mean prospect rankings which really aren't worth all that much to GM's. It does help the baseball writers to easily determine if a trade is a win or not. I don't think you really looked at the players other than their rankings. Of these two pitchers which one would you rather have and would you trade either for Contreras and would they be the headline piece in a Contreras trade? Pitcher#1 Pitcher #2

If Yelich doesn't retire I think this is a very real probability depending on how the CBA goes. If the CBA requires a salary floor then I think Bauers is brought back but Vaughn doesn't get brought back. There is a hole for a backup SS and 3B that the Brewers haven't filled. I think trading Vaughn would fill that hole. Yes I know the Brewers have Made but I am not sure if the Brewers think he is a SS/3B or if they think he would be a better CF. I don't have a good read on where the Brewers think Made will settle defensively.

Can’t even make an easy routine defensive play at 1B. Vaughn sucks.

I was thinking of the Yankees as a landing spot for a Contreras trade but I don't think they have the prospects that the Brewers would be looking for in a Contreras trade. I looked at the Rays and while the obvious trade targets here would be one of their top catching prospects I think the Brewers don't target one of their catchers and instead go quantity over value somewhat here. Rays: Contreras Brewers: Ty Johnson (RHP), Slater de Brun (OF) and Anderson Brito (RHP) or Santiago Suarez (RHP). You may think this is a light trade for Contreras as the Rays wouldn't be giving up any of their top 10 prospects but this is a solid trade. While none of these players are in the Rays top 10 or in the top 100 prospects in baseball they are players the Brewers have targeted in the past. Ty Johnson's scouting report reads very similar to this Jacob Misiorowski guy. Slater de Brun is someone the Brewers were connected with when he was drafted very similar to Sal Frelick but far more physical. Anderson Brito is a very advanced pitcher for his age but similar to Peralta is on the small side and may need TJ surgery but is expected back soon from his forearm strain. Brito hasn't pitched since March. If you don't like Brito then Santiago Suarez is another good pitcher though he is more of a control pitcher than Brito. Suarez has a 1.3 BB/9 which is just insane. Though he doesn't get the strikeout much and he does tend to give up HR's at a career 1.0 currently sitting at 1.8 this year at AA. He has a mid 90's fastball that can touch 97. He would make for a very good #4 or #5 starter. You wouldn't have to worry about him walking batters but you would need an elite level defense behind him which for the Brewers is something they have. I don't believe the Brewers will trade Contreras this off season and will instead just go year to year with him.

Houston or Austin are the next cities to get an NHL expansion team with a reported $2billion franchise fee already paid. If you were hoping for a Milwaukee franchise any time soon well that opportunity has passed about 20-30 years ago.

Just behind YuniB but that is unfair to Joey. It was a shame YuniB didn’t get invited to the alumni game. He is the greatest SS/1B in Brewers history!!!

Marte looked decent last year and he is still young yet. Not sure what is wrong with him.
