Breakdown / Highlights
The Brewers began the week in Milwaukee, welcoming the Angels to American Family Field. Already eliminated from playoff contention, Los Angeles played like they weren’t playing for much. They’d muster only two runs in each of the three games, while Milwaukee scored nine twice, and five in the final. Andrew Vaughn and Jake Bauers both had great series in that one, and Freddy Peralta, Quinn Pirester, and Brandon Woodruff picked up wins.

On to St. Louis with a dwindling magic number, the Cubs took care of business for the Brewers, who only managed to win one of the games. Meanwhile, Chicago was swept at the hands of Cincinnati, so despite a loss on Sunday, the Brewers celebrated their 3rd straight NL division title in St. Louis. Perhaps, though, that came with a bit of a sour note, as over those last couple of days, Milwaukee lost both Brandon Woodruff and Jose Quintana to injuries, putting their postseason availability into question.
