    Game 51 | Brewers 5, Cardinals 1

    MIL Starter: Jacob Misiorowski (7.0 IP, 2 H, BB, ER, 12 K)

    Top Performers:
    Aaron Ashby (2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 1 K)
    Andrew Vaughn (3 H, 2 2B, RBI)
    Christian Yelich (2 H, HR, 2 RBI)

Jacob Misiorowski continued to dazzle with his start on Monday, despite his long scoreless inning streak being snapped. He pitched seven brilliant innings against St. Louis, striking out 12, while the Brewers jumped on Matthew Liberatore early and never looked back.

    Yelich’s 2-run home run (+14.6 WP%)

    Game 52 | Brewers 6, Cardinals 0

    MIL Starter: Kyle Harrison (6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 2 K)

    Top Performers:
    Christian Yelich (3 H, 2B)
    William Contreras (2 H, 2B, 2 RBI)
Garett Mitchell (H, HR, 3 RBI)

The 1-2 punch of Kyle Harrison and Misiorowski was effective in its second leg on Tuesday, as behind Harrison’s six strong innings, the Brewers captured the series. With the bats, both Garrett Mitchell and Jake Bauers went deep, and Christian Yelich’s return to the leadoff spot saw him get on base three times.

    Jake Bauers’s team-leading eighth home run (+12.5 WP%)

    Game 53 | Brewers 2, Cardinals 1

    MIL Starter: Chad Patrick (4.0 IP, 5 H, BB, ER, 4 K)

    Top Performers:
    Shane Drohan (2.0 IP, H, 0 BB, 0 R, K)
    Aaron Ashby (2.0 IP, H, BB, 0 R, 2 K)
    Trevor Megill (1.0 IP, H, 0 BB, 0 ER, K, SV)

It looked as if Cardinals starter Dustin May was not only going to salvage the series for St. Louis on Wednesday, but make history while doing so. He shut down the Brewers offense through seven innings, carrying a no-hitter into the eighth inning before a Mitchell double broke up the no-no. The Brewers then seized the opportunity, scoring two runs in quick fashion, and snagging a signature comeback win.

    Christian Yelich’s RBI knock (+30.0 WP%)

    Game 54 | Brewers 5, Astros 4

    MIL Starter: Coleman Crow (4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 ER, K)

    Top Performers:
Jackson Chourio (H, BB, HR, 2 RBI)
    DL Hall (2.0 IP, 0 H, 2 BB, 0 ER, 3 K)
    Trevor Megill (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 2 K, SV)

The action shifted to Houston after an off day on Thursday, with Coleman Crow taking the ball for his third start of the season. He’d end up surrendering four runs over his four innings (two of them unearned), but for the second straight game, the Brewers battled back. The bullpen would keep the Astros offense in check after Crow’s exit, and eventually, the Brewers would tie the game in the eighth, then win it in the 10th.

    Jackson Chourio’s 2-run home run (+17.0 WP%)

    Game 55 | Astros 9, Brewers 2

    MIL Starter: Brandon Sproat (4.1 IP, 6 H, 0 BB, 5 ER, 4 K)

    Top Performers:
    Andrew Vaughn (2 H)

Saturday’s contest was all Astros, who knocked around Brandon Sproat and Carlos Rodriguez. Peter Lambert, meanwhile, limited the Brewers' bats to just two runs, and then the struggling Astros bullpen was even better behind him, allowing nothing.

Jackson Chourio drives in a run (+11.1 WP%)

    Game 56 | Brewers 2, Astros 0

    MIL Starter: Jacob Misiorowski (7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 8 K)

    Top Performers:
David Hamilton (H, BB, 3 SB)
Jake Bauers (H, HR, 2 RBI)
    Andrew Vaughn (2 H, 2B)

Jacob Misiorowski was back on the mound for his second outing of the week, and again, he turned in seven magnificent innings. This time it was to the tune of eight strikeouts and no runs, capping off his near-historic month of May. Jake Bauers, on the other hand, provided all the offense for the Brewers, as his 9th home run of the season was all the offense the Brewers needed to capture the series in Houston.

Jake Bauer sends one out (+20.8 WP%)

Eventually, the 21-year-old defensive wizard's offense will regress to the mean, right? Right? After hitting .326(.932) in April, Lara is hitting .379 (1.008) in May.
