His girlfriend said he is really just training hard everyday, trying to get back into great shape for the season. He is not planning to pitch a lot and when he does pitch he is working on improving certain aspects of his pitching game. She said he is pretty motivated to earn a spot out of Spring Training, which I feel he could if he is lights out during Spring Training. Also she said that she keeps telling him he needs to work on his hitting because she is sick of him striking out every single time!

Another update from his girlfriend, who is not too baseball smart but trys . . . She said he pitched an inning yesterday, 2 strikeouts and 1 walk. He was excited b/c he got his speed back up to 94-95. His plan is to only pitch 1 or 2 inning for a few weeks, then go back to starting but not pitching more than 5 innings.

I talked to Luis' girlfriend and she said that he will be pitching for the Licey's in the Dominican league starting next week. He has been working out with them for the last month.

Does anyone know what happened to Matt Childers? I was hoping he would return next year.

Are former Stars Richard Paz or Luis Martinez playing? Where can you find information on the Puerto Rican league?

What Brewers are playing in the Dominican and Venezulian leagues? How are they doing?

I can't get the Indians game to work, so if anyone could keep me posted on how Martinez is doing tonight it would be appreciated.

Could Luis actually play in Arizona's Fall League? Or does he have to play in a league in the Dominican?

What date can Luis get called up and not have his arbitration clock start? What would be a reason for them not to call him up in September?

The problem is we are going to need pitching next season. So if they think Luis is ready or close to it, he will be heading to Milwaukee. He seems to get better each year, and is always quoted about what's different this year is his work ethic. So I say definitley call him up in September and then see how he does in Spring Training.

Is anyone listening to the Indians game to see how Martinez is doing in his debut?
