You know I never try to root in division with the Crew, but my childhood hero was Roberto Clemente. I've always loved the Bucs. I know, I'm a loser.

Go Rays! Mainly due to the fact that I like to play as the worst team in baseball, and in most games prior to this season, they were.

Rooting for Clemente does not make you a loser.

 

I've mentioned elsewhere in the forum that I'd made a short list of teams I might have switched to, had the Miller Park funding fallen through. They were mostly smallish-market teams: Pirates, Twins, Mariners, Indians, Royals. My family seems to have a history of rooting for the underdog, and I have followed suit.

 

Since the Brewers continue to exist (yay), I don't actively root for these teams except in an entirely neutral setting. For example, when we were in Pittsburgh in 2002, we caught a game vs. Barry Bonds and the Giants, and it was all too easy to get in on the Barry taunting from the Buc faithful. That was a fun game in a great park.

I cheer for the up and coming team each season. The team that comes out of nowhere to seriously compete, like the White Sox in 2005 and Tigers in 2006.

I like the Padres and Red Sox, mainly because of family ties to both regions

If not the brewers, I don't care, I just want to see good baseball. If there is a solid player that is in the twilight of his career without ever getting to the WS, that would make a good story.

The primary reason I like the Indians are the fans that visited Miller Park last year. I had a total blast with them. Good natured, talkative. Very classy fans.

I have to agree with this. I've always pulled for the Indians for some reason (maybe its the Major League thing) but this last year I went to the ALCS Game 4 in Cleveland vs the Red Sox...amazing experience and the fans were really cool and nice, I told a lot of people I'm from Milwaukee and they all we're appreciative of the use of the stadium(like I had anything to do with it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ). But yeah, overall great time and great impression from their fans.

I love the Cubs. Oh, wait a minute, it's not the 1st anymore. Nevermind.

 

 

I have a soft spot for the Indians and Braves and whoever is playing the Cubs.
