Aramis Ramirez...would you want him?

I've always thought of him as a very good player. He seems to be especially good against the Brewers.

But I've decided after the last two games that I would never want the guy on my team. He seems extremely lazy, and mentally absent from games leading to very frustrating mistakes. He would drive me NUTS!

What do you all say?

He's always been arrogant and sluggish, probably my least favorite player in the league and the main reason the Cubs annoy me. When he hit that game-winning HR off of Coco I was less angry about the actual HR than I was angry about it being Ramirez who hit it. He puts up good numbers, but he's an...expletive.

I can take Bill Hill's occasional lapses of focus, but I wouldn't be able to take Ramirez's carelessness.

I've never liked him, and it goes back to when he was with the Pirates too so it's not like this is just a "He's a Cub" thing.

He's just one of those guys that I reeeaallly don't like, and it's not just the fact that he's a Cub. I can respect Lee, Soriano, etc., but Ramirez just drives me nuts.

Yeah, I'd take his production, and could probably overlook his attitude if he was with us. Although, Estrada's laissez-faire style killed me!

How come there's no Aramis being Aramis?

Yeah, I'm sure I could live with him on the team, too, but talk about frustrating.

I actually felt bad for his teammates after a couple of plays this week.

I just hated how Cubs fans whined about how "cocky" they thought Braun was last year, when there was only one time after that big homerun, and Ned yelled at him for it... and then there's Ramirez who puts on his best pose and stare job after every freakin homerun he hits. He's a donkey.

While I don't his "style" more than anyone else, I definitely dig 4 straight seasons with a .900 or greater OPS at 3B. He could slack his way to a .920 OPS for the Brewers and you wouldn't hear me complain.

Oh yeah. He's shown nice improvement defensively over his career. I like guys that BB more, but Aramis is a bonafide star imo.

Yeah I hate him too. Did you see that look he gave after he figured out he could've caught the foul ball but didn't even move an inch as if it was just Soto's responsiblity? It was pathetic. But he's an force and if we had him instead of Hall I think the Crew would be a slam dunk for the division.

He's a clear upgrade over Hall I think when you add everything up. Hard not to like a natural 3B with a perennial .900+ OPS.

However, I don't like his style at all. If he was on the team, I'd probably have a hard time really getting behind him... Injuries are also a small concern.

he fields well and hits well, and he's not old--probably at the peak of his career right around now. I never heard of him causing trouble on a team, so who cares what some fans of other teams think? Yeah, I'd take him.
