Did Manny Parra change his number?

On brewers.com he is listed as #26 and R.J. Swindle is listed as #43. Anyone know anything about this? It really isn't important, I'm just curious. Also says Mike Lamb is #20 and I believe he was #47 last year.

He is 26 years old this year... Maybe he was feeling 43 last year! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

It's not uncommon for fringe players to end up with numbers more of their own choosing after some time in the bigs. This seems to happen at least with at least a couple players every ST, just not ones with as much experience as Parra has under his belt.

Gary Sheffield first had #1 and then #11. Dave Nilsson had #13 and then #11 before he ended up with #7, and I think he may have had #14 in there very briefly, too. The weird thing with Nilsson is that all those numbers were during his time playing in Milwaukee, not just ST.

Some of these switches can happen at the end of ST, too, once certain players are released or traded. It's one of those inconsequential things I watch like a hawk, too.
