MINOR DETAILS: Joining the team this afternoon from minor-league camp is OF Cole Gillespie (#98), INF Adam Heether (#88), RHP Mike Burns (#99), RHP Juan Sandoval (#90) and RHP Chris Smith (#91).

Wouldn't mind seeing Nick Green face a starting lineup, he's been the caboose of the pitching matchups all spring, it seems.

I was actually being serious about the play - Uecker said at first it was big trouble for the 3rd baseman, but then said he made a terrific play to nab Rickie

Even though it was only a walk, my man love for Lorenzo Cain continues to grow.

 

The performance of Brad Nelson and Chris Duffy are going to make the final roster spot decision that much tougher. Could we concievably keep both on the 25 man roster? Nelson is just starting to play the OF again, can we trust him enough to be a 4th/5th outfielder?

Over his career though, he's played almost as many games in the OF as 1B.

Oh, I think we can too quite easily. A lot of our relievers are multi inning guys. And Stetter isn't solely tough against lefties. So we're built for a split where we carry more position players than pitchers.
