  1. I switched to Hulu from Charter about 2 months ago and am loving it so far. About 1/3rd the cost and by and large I have every channel I want. It occasionally is glitchy but not very often. For me it is worth putting up with that for the price. Key is having a good internet connection and I bought the best ROKU player out there. Very happy so far
  2. And apparently another round of snow of TBD magnitude on Sunday night and Monday. Sounds like it could be some decent accumulations. The forecast for next Wednesday is a HIGH of -9 and LOW of -21. That might be cancel school territory. Kids can't walk to school with those kind of temperatures.
  3. I agree on the hotel. Yes the occupancy would be pretty weak in the offseason but they could probably sell out a 100 room hotel for 81 games a year plus there will be some other events that will draw people in as well. Obviously though if the Brewers or a Developer thought it made financial sense this would have already gotten done in the last 17 years.
  4. For me it is 60. While I like my job we are only on this planet once and I want to make the most of it. Travel, grandkid stuff, etc I have a decent 401K account going and still have a long ways to go; the biggest question is how to bridge the health insurance gap between retiring and losing the company health insurance and then eventually signing up for Medicare. I imagine private health insurance for a 60 year old won't exactly be cheap when that time comes.
  5. Tonight is why Game 163 was so important, I would feel so different if this was on the road. I think the offense keeps going and we get at least 3 homers
  6. I fell into the rabbit hole of YouTube Brewer highlights from 2008, 2011, and 2018 and UW Basketball highlights from the Final 4. Just so excited for tonight. I just have that feeling that not only are they going to win that it isn't going to be stressful. 8-3 or something like that
  7. Can you really expect Kershaw to pitch at all? He would be on 2 days rest tomorrow. I guess maybe for an inning but I don't know why Roberts would go that route with as good as the Dodgers bullpen has been. Maybe he could bring him in as a LOOGY but that is about it.
  8. 1. The Brewers have the 2 starters they want going 2. Hader, Jeffress, and Knebel will be full go for both games without a doubt 3. No Kershaw 4. At Home 5. The Top 6 in the order have no where to go but up If the Crew can win Friday I think they win the series. Obviously the key is the offense and getting into a more hitter friendly environment helps. Brewers probably had 3 more home runs and win one more game if those games were at Miller park (Aguilar, Shaw, and Granderson comes to mind).
  9. I feel like I just shouldn't watch the game tonight. I have neglected the kids over the last couple weeks and last night was just to much. I will just check my phone every once in a while and hopefully I won't get to high or to low. Maybe I will turn it on late if the Crew is playing well.
  10. Without a doubt that was torture last night. Neither team basically did anything for the last 5 innings of the game until the Dodgers won, staying up for that junk cost be probably 4 hours of sleep.
  11. It would be nice if the Top 6 guys outside of Braun remembered how to hit again. Yesterday's offense was just about as inept as I can ever remember, I had no hope that anyone was going to come up with the big hit. The closest ones were probably the deep flies by Shaw and Granderson buts its not like those were even up against the wall. So tired this morning.
  12. Well he is certainly due for a plate appearance so he is kinda sort of due. Many unexpected contributions so far this postseason; it won't surprise me the least if it is Schoop's turn. He will probably be lucky to get 2 AB's; I don't think Craig will let him hit against a righty and would certainly pinch hit Shaw.
  13. Can we really even ask Peralta to pitch anymore unless it is an extra inning game? He hasn't pitched in forever and then we ask him to go into a high stress situation. I don't think he pitches unless there is a blowout or extra innings. Same for Guerra probably.
  14. Bullpenning has obviously gone well this year for us but you also have to have the horses to do it. Bullpens tend to be a crapshoot from one year to the next so it is certainly not a given that the bullpen can repeat this. You are still better off having at least 2 or 3 starters you know can repeatedly go 5-6 innings a start. The only reason this working is because we have a lot of talent in the bullpen; that won't be the case for the Brewers every year.
