Experiencing several delays, but here's the Gameday link.

Brewers up 5-0 after one inning, helped by a 3-run HR from Bill Hall. Hopefully this is a result of the Lasik surgery and new approach at the plate that will carry throughout the year, not just a fluke from spring training pitchers.

EDIT: I apologize, my fault for the jinx, he followed that up with 3 strikeouts.

Prince also had a triple and scored on an error on that same play. Anyone know how that happened?

If Hall can give some protection in the 5/6/7 spot I really like the offense

Haha! Got to love a Cubs pitcher walking Bush with 2 outs! And it starts a rally!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I was a little worried with Bush loading the bases and nobody out (albeit on stuff that didn't seem all that hard hit, and after running the bases), he gets two infield flies and strikes out the pinch hitter. With Macha now running the ship, what's his preferred description for a gritty battler?

Cain just keeps on hitting... I expected him to struggle early like Gamel and Escobar, but other than his error the other day, he's been as solid as we could have hoped.

edit. I see in the box he's only hitting .200, I thought it was better than that.

No kidding, right? It seems every time I tune in or watch or anything, he collects another hit. Maybe I just catch his one per game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Ron and Pat made it sound like there were a couple nice defensive plays. I would like to have seen the play of Billy making an overhead catch and the Prince to 2nd to Bush covering 1st DP. It also seems like there is regularly some admiration of Cain making plays. Anybody with the MLBtv thing see those?
