Still wouldn't mind Melvin inquiring abouth im. I doubt they have much left in their budget to add to the bullpen, though.

He may have been a closer, but his numbers were pretty crummy last year. I'd honestly rather have McClung in the bullpen over Capps.

Where would there be room for Capps at this point without having an 8-man bullpen?

2. Coffey

3. Villanueva

4. Hawkins

5. Stetter

6. Vargas (tentative deal in place)

7. Lofgren (Rule V) or Narveson or Suppan or Dillard or Smith or . . . etc. (in other words, someone cheap)

I think that is pretty easy to answer. To get Capps in the bullpen you can either trade Villanueva off, so basically offsetting most of Capps salary, or you can just let Lofgren go back to the team the Brewers selected him from. To have the chance to get a 26 year old who could be our closer of the future(when Hoffman hangs it up) I really am not worried about fitting him into the bullpen. Yes he had a bad year, but his career stats are still very good.
