Ryan Braun interview with Tim Allen

Kind of a fluff piece, but there are some good comments by Braun. Link. This part in particular made me smile:

On him losing money when he signed the long-term contract

back in ’08 and why he did so:

“I think that is something that people look back at in

hindsight. I think it remains to be seen whether I stay healthy or

whether I continue to produce, obviously. That is the plan. That is

the goal, but for me for the Brewers to believe in me despite having

less that a full year in the big leagues and committing that amount of

money and that many years to me is something that means the world to me

and is something that I will never forget. Looking back at it I would

make that decision every time.”

With comments like that, I hope that Braun stays in Milwaukee and becomes the modern day Robin Yount...only with a World Series ring or two.

Braun has a very good head on his shoulders.

Braun just keeps making me love him more and more. With his love for the city and the team and the entire region in general, i think he is earning the nickname "Mr Brewer". He truly is a loyal guy and is a perfect pick to rep the franchise.

Ryan is not from Wisconsin, but I see him as our Joe Mauer. A guy we drafted, came up and was a stud right away. And he signed a deal right away to stay here. I hope that eventually the Brewers sign him to another deal that will make him a lifetime Brewer.
