Brewers April and May Schedule

Does it seem brutal to anyone else? Not the teams necessarily, but the home/road division of games. For instance, after opening up at home for 6 games they embark on a 3 city, 9 game, 11 day road trip. Back home for 6 games in 6 days, then no day off in between and they leave for another 3 city, 10 game, 11 day road trip before coming back coming back for 6 and then leaving again for 7.

All in all they play 18 of their first 44 at home (that is 26 on the road). The part I worry about is the two back-to-back 11 day, 3 city road trips.

It all evens out in the end.

I'd rather have the busy part of the schedule at the beginning of the year while the team is still fresh. More off days in the dog days of summer.

As long as the Brewers don't fall flat in that part of the schedule, it is really good for them. The early part of the season is when attendance is weakest, so the Brewers will have comparatively more home games when the weather is good and the attendance is up. A disastrous start to the season would ruin this.

Last year they had the same record at home and on the road, so I'm not concerned. Young teams tend to struggle on the road, but this team isn't really young anymore.
