2011 World Series: AL Champion vs. NL Champion

The Cardinals just don't bug me, don't know why. They generally play the game the right way, La Russa is one of the better managers out there even though he is a boob. I originally said I was cheering for the Cardinals but on second thought I hope the Rangers win but this series has been so amazing I really don't care who wins, it was one of the better post season series I've seen in quite some time.
the entire post-season, as a whole, has been excellent. No clunker games or series, really (maybe the Texas clincher to send them to the WS?) and they've all been good, hard-played series.

Oh, and no Red Sox.

I would say the playoffs have been really entertaining but overall the defense and pitching have been pretty underwhelming. The hitting has been pretty incredible

"We'll see you tomorrow night." Wasn't that Joe's father that made that call 20 years ago? I don't care much at all for Buck/McCarver, but what an honor it must have been for Buck the younger to call the end of the game like that.

I wasn't impressed with the call at all. I understand that it was implied, but Buck should have gave credit to his dad before saying it, something like, "Just like my father said, 'We'll see you tomorrow night!'"

Without giving the credit, it sounded quite forced to me and, I thought, in bad taste. He couldn't come up with his own phrase?

I'd still be happier if it was the Brewers and not the Cards.

For sure. As great as the World Series has been I have struggled to watch much of it. What I have watched has been entertaining in a gut wrenching way

The Rangers have been my second favorite team for a long time. So, not only because I hate the Cards, but because I like the Rangers, I really want the Cardinals to be demolished.

That was clearly a strike on the corner. If you're not going to give the pitcher that advantage, that's bogus. What do they want him to do...lay it right down the middle every pitch?

the guy just shows you up and you call the pitch a ball

So true. That was a nice pitch. Cards had a couple go their way last night like that

Wow, a game seven SEVERLY altered by a terrible umping job. That's the kind of call that puts a cloud over the whole series.

Then Carpenter gets two called strikes on the corner.
That's what I was thinking... then the stolen Cruz HR.... Cards night

the sun is definitely shining on the Cardinals ass.....SCREW THE UMP, and SCREW THE CARDINALS

If I was a Ranger's fan, I'd be beside myself. The ump's awful call leads to two runs in a one-run game seven. WOW
