I don’t know about you guys, but I’m starting over! 163!!!!!* *subject to your local MLB lockout restrictions

I'm kinda hoping the Rays make it instead of Cleveland. I don't really know how well our offense/hitters would adjust to possibly 3 games in the cold air blowing off of Lake Erie. I feel like I'd rather play all games indoors in temperature-controlled environments rather than having to hope our players get acclimated to the cold in a hurry. Oh, and Tarik Skubal's dad tells me that Cleveland's fans are jerks to visiting fans. probably the worst in baseball that he has seen.

The good thing is that the Brewers have 5 1/2 days to figure this out. He'll have some live BP to throw and that will tell them a lot. The hitters will pass on the fact that either he is looking nasty or they're smashing the ball all over the place. I'm all for putting him on the roster if he passes the muster with the coaching staff. Sorry to say, but they have earned my trust that they know what the heck they're doing; better than ANYONE here on this fan site.

I think Uecker Jr. for game two also, but he'll wheel out Ueck's pitching machine and use that!

So did I! As he walked to the plate, I turned to my wife and said, “Hammy needs to pop one in the seats here. That would be the most Brewer-ish thing ever with this team.” Sure enough, he popped one and in between screams and cheers, we both looked at each like “holy —— you called it!”

In 2018, we bought four tickets behind the Brewers dugout for WS game one. Row 11 or so, I think. Grand total: $1600 Today, my cousin and I hemmed and hawed for twenty minutes after picking our jaws up off the floor. Ultimately, we bit the bullet for 4 tickets in 421 row 6. $1600 Each. My 20 game season seats are in 421 row 2. I paid the SSH strip price offered to us last month. Each WS game was about $235 each. My mother in law and sister in law will sit in those seats, as they do most of the season, since I’m in Arizona. I totally understand those fans (here and otherwise) that are ticked off, shaking with anger, etc. I never thought I would EVER do something like I did today (final bill after fees was $7400!) My only rationale is that I am now guaranteed to be in the building for a game seven, which is an ultimate experience. A once in a lifetime thing for me and my wife. we will never do this again. next season, and any further seasons, I’ll pay the SSH Strip gor my two tickets and fight my in-laws for those seats. I’ll probably win 😆 or I’ll watch from home. Or a bar or something. Go Brewers! But today left an INCREDIBLY sour taste in my mouth. We were so excited about buying seats and it completely ruined that excitement and instead created the feeling that I might have to sell a kidney; they my niece might not be able to go to college now; that if there is no game seven that the team will take their sweet time refunding me while my credit card keeps charging interest every month. today was supposed to be a fun day. hopefully, it will all be worth it and I’ll remember it for the rest of my life as one of the best moments I could ever experience

I had a calm all day yesterday, thinking it was gonna happen. We came up short but certainly coulda had it. I've got the same feeling today. Calm as ever for a playoff game. Let's get it done tonight. Buehler is not the same guy he was in 2018.

Maybe there should be a thread topic called “Brewers Mount Rushless”? Gotta put some minimums to qualify but could be fun to identify players that are all time worsts or make it guys that belong as brewers #5-8 guys?

Why have I not seen any post-game interviews or discussion about Miz’s performance? Or am I just not seeing them anywhere?

So, should we refresh this thread with a magic number of 11? Just feeling optimistic.

I know the Brewers have been "babying" (for lack of a better word) their starters for the last week or two; just giving them some work and limiting their arms. But the post-season is when you put your big boy pants on. I would expect whomever starts games 1 and 2 to go 6+ innings and only taking them out if we're up big in each game. They kinda need to get ramped back up again. I just don't see them being able to piggyback or Johnny Wholestaff a game 3 or 4 (in a seven game series) and be all that successful, especially when our opponent will likely be pitching their better arms in those games (after likely being used in the wild card series.) And maybe I'm wrong. I'm okay with being wrong. You always see World Series teams using their horses to get there once they get to the post-season. Maybe the Brewers will play the "long game" and try to continue conserving pitches for the NLCS and WS? I don't think that's a bad strategy; it's just not what I would do. Hence, why I am typing on a message board instead of working for a big league club LOL.

I can really only see him out on World Series roster. That gives him the maximum time to recover and rehab and then, if he gets in, hopefully it’s a chance to fulfill his daydream (or something similar) and leave it all on the field, even if it ends his career. Would be a sweet way to go out!

Yah, understood. But you can’t blame that on Mark A. or the Brewers. That’s an MLB thing. i think.

I thought all award voting had to be completed by the end of the regular season. So, if true, Logan’s post-season effort would not be able to be considered as a way to sway voters.
