Gorzelanny activated Burgos to the DL

#Brewers announce Gorzelanny has been reinstated from the 15-day DL, while Burgos has been placed on the DL with right-shoulder impingement.

Hopefully Burgos gets healthy soon. I think he can be a contributer. If not as a starter then as a reliever.

Funny, but I thought the Brewers Organization was credited as being the Healthiest in the Majors in regards to Pitchers avoiding injuries.

There's no reason he couldn't have just been optioned out and rested. My guess is he was hurting as he wasn't the same guy that was mowing down hitters in the WBC and who was sharp in his first couple Brewer starts. Hopefully, he'll be fine with some rest.

They likely just want to rest him for awhile before optioning him. Being on the MLB DL is more beneficial than being on the MILB DL. They'll probably just wait awhile and see how Fiers does in the rotation, and then send Burgos down if he's doing fine. Also, Narveson is being stretched out as a starter, so that makes it even less likely that Burgos will have a spot to return to.
