Kintzler is sort of like the new version of Kameron Loe. Deceivingly decent stats, but fails the eye test every time.

 

Exactly. He's exceedingly mediocre, but all you hear is how absolutely terrible he is. His ERA is just over 3. His FIP is 4 1/2. He's certainly not good, but he's not 'terrible' either.

 

He's below replacement level and has a K/BB rate of 1.63. That is terrible for a short inning reliever.

 

Before the deadline we definitely need to get a shut down Righty to compliment smith. Kintzler/ wooten are not shut down caliber by any means
