A nice 5 or 6 inning start to get to Kintzler. Hopefully Badger Mutual doesn't drop our policy, cause we need some serious Insurance Runs.

Hmm, it's the Scooter and Krush show. You know, the two guys from our minor league system that was so devoid of talent.
There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early

I know RRR likes the platoon but with the way Scooter is playing can we just keep him in against LHP too.

I agree. Here is a fun stat per Joe Block - he now leads all 2nd basemen in SLG with .474 ... Not to shabby for a "singles" hitter who won't amount to much.

Let's be fair. Neither were highly touted coming out of the amateur ranks. They both performed well in the minors, but showed enough warts to warrant that there were reasons they weren't highly touted. Davis is a corner outfielder with a terrible arm, and really only one plus tool (his power), and Scooter is a decent defender who's OBP is very highly batting average driven.

I like that both guys are successful, and contributing to our ML success. But hinting that they are proof that system isn't (or wasn't) devoid of talent is false equivalency.

How close was Gomez's hit? Uecker was calling it out of the park initially

It hit about mid-way up the wall of that cut-out area in Left-Center.

This is far from the doom and gloom I was expecting. It's been a fun one so far. (Though I am just casually watching, so not seeing Estrada pitch much)

Wow, the B squad just taking Strasburg to the woodshed.

Once again, I'm sure my perception is not the same as reality, but it just seems like the last year or so, every time RRR puts out these putrid "sunday lineups", he strikes gold more often than not and we strike it rich with 5 or 6 runs.

Huh? That statement is proof that what qualifies as "talent" or deserving of "tout" is a bit too limited in it's scope. Gennett's BA driven OBP is a lot like Paul Molitor's was his rookie year when he walked all of 19 times, but I guess in this age, Molitor wouldn't be highly touted either.
