The Timber Rattlers play the early game today, looking to bounce back from a close loss on Friday. Felix Valerio brings his 6-game hitting streak into the contest, along with a .929 OPS in 71 PAs in High-A:

T-Rats jump out to an early lead and hang on. Solo shots from Valerio and Warren would be all they need as four pitchers combine for 12 K's and 1 earned run.

Korry Howell is coming around against AA pitching, with a 6-game hitting streak to raise his Biloxi OPS to .728. He and the Shuckers seek a second straight win:

Small with a fantastic year except for the sprained finger ligament. He's really put himself in position for a AAA/MLB role next year.

RHP Noah Zavolas has pitched seven full innings in five of this 20 starts, 29 walks in 107.2 IP.

 

Looking back to April, RHP Zach Vennaro being assigned to Biloxi from Maryvale in 2019 and the lost 2020 season was a reach, despite Vennaro's presence in big league spring training games in 2021. Vennaro turned 25 in June.
