The Brewers recalled C Bo Naylor while the Sounds officially activated OF Brandon Lockridge. The Brewers also released 7 Players today and one of them is long injured LHP Russ Smith 😪

Nothing is publicly available with clear articulation of these rules. Last summer BA published an overview of the new Pool Play format and in the article claimed all Group Play Tiebreakers will revert to standard MiLB Playoff tiebreaker rules. That is clearly not the case, however. I think they may just actually go with basic top seeded team of a given group advances in a tiebreaker or Run differential. BUT, as you point out, absolutely nothing is made clear and unambiguous. At the end of the day, that opening one run loss to the Giants Black was the difference. Muy triste!

Man alive. What an absolutely confusing and inaccurate quagmire of rules and making that clear! LOL. SO, they do take run differential as the primary criteria? OR total runs scored? OR...Because they certainly didn't use the stated criteria from 2025. I give up.

That likely explains, then, why the remaining three Group Play games were cancelled today. I thought maybe weather - thinking they'd still afford the players the opportunity to get one last game in. Now, we know it was likely because the remaining teams were eliminated.

SO, here's what we do know: The DSL Reds went 3-0 in Group Play. They are the only surefire advance of four total semi-finalists. There were also three games cancelled today in Group Play. The confusion continues. 😅

You know, given the above details, I am pretty sure none of the Mariners or Giants Black or DSL Brewers Gold actually played each other in the regular season? Would they go to the final 20 Games? LOL. Now, to be honest, I'm confused and don't know what to make of any of this.😅 As I alluded to yesterday, I certainly am no expert here and there just isn't really any clearly listed DSL post-season tiebreaker info in any particular place. I do know the DSL Brewers Gold were red hot to close their season at a 16-4 mark over the final 20. There is that. The Giants Black were 13-7. The Mariners were also 13-7. IF the Final 20 is the criteria? We would advance. But, at this point, I just don't know!😅

I am pretty sure Run Diff. does not matter into this equation whatsoever. It will be winning percentage in season head-to-head first and foremost. If any ties co-exist there, they will revert to best record over the last 20 Games. If a tie persists there? They go to 21, 22, etc. until someone has a better win percentage. In any of the information I could recover yesterday, everything pointed to last summer and the announcement of the new DSL post-season Group Play format. In that description, everything I encountered referred back to "In the event of a Group Play Tiebreaker, we will revert to standard MiLB post-season tiebreaker rules." I see that as this in 2025/2026:

Yeah, it would appear so. I think this likely has to do with uncertainty around a Lockout. I don't have access to Romero's stuff either but he is definitely one of the most tapped in individuals in the International FA Markets.

Also, Hadden and Perry are going to be very hard to Cut. Very good back-ups.
