Off-season fan fest returns (sort of) - Winter Warm-Up January 13-14

It looks like the Brewers are attempting a return to an off-season fan fest - a Winter Warm-Up over a mid-January weekend.

Day 1 (Saturday 1/13): A fun-filled "Live Show" at the Miller High Life Theatre, including opportunities to be served drinks by former Brewers and to pose for selfies with Brewers players at photo stations.  There's an optional (extra $, limited capacity) autograph session in the morning.  Tickets are $22 for the live show and $42 for the live show plus autograph session.

Day 2 (Sunday 1/14): A Kids Baseball Clinic at Ethic Sports Indoor in New Berlin.  Kids need to be ages 6-14, there are two sessions available (250 kids per session).  Tickets are $30 + processing fee.

Tickets for the events go on sale to the general public this Friday, 11/3.  Season seat holders will be able to purchase tickets Thursday 11/2.

I guess it's better than not reaching out at all.  I've been feeling like the organization's fan engagement efforts dropped off a cliff 4-5 years ago (I think for more reasons than the pandemic, though I'm sure the pandemic made a large difference).

So bigger than a bar but smaller than the convention center. Why can't they do this at the stadium again? Isn't that where most teams who do this kind of event are holding it?

No…and it isn’t heated. So it doesn’t work anyway.

Used to do it at the stadium in March…remember the one in 2008 where Attanasio declared, “90 wins and 3 million fans”…and he was right.

Right, but spring training is here then. The point is to do it in the dead of winter to keep interest going.

...and to charge fans an arm and a leg in the process...

I'd like it if they could spell Wiemer correctly.  They did get it right for Andruw, Jahmai and Rickie, though!

Probably means absolutely nothing but nobody who is on the “trade block” attending.

Could just be a scheduling conflict for the others. Offseason vacation or other commitments.

You would think the team’s beat writer would get the name correct.

For those who have been to previous fanfest autograph sessions, do they let you bring in your own items to have signed? I am planning on bringing my son to this one, so just curious if we should bring items to sign, or if they will only sign items provided at the event.

Just par for the course over the last few seasons…organization looking for every dime possible….charging $42 and fees for an hour autograph session and show? So two or three mediocre Brewers autographs? Waaay more family friendly from 2005 to 2019 or so…

They can dare as much as they want….this dare is a Winter fanlike event that used to be (mainly) free. Now taking your kids runs a couple hundred dollars. Staying home.
