Yeah.  If we get 5 innings with only 1 run allowed, hard to be anything but pleased with that.

the black hole at 3B and the offense the other hand…

Gasser is not a great pitcher. Maybe his stuff would play up out of the bullpen but his stuff is aggressively mediocre at best.

Because he gave up 1 run in 5 innings?

Tough crowd.

Doesn't matter whether Gasser or Miz is on the mound if we put up 0 runs and 0 hits offensively.

Man they just can not touch this guy. Every time he faces them, no matter how well they're swinging the bats, it seems like they're completely lost.

I'm not talking about results. I am talking about process. He had a good bit of traffic today but pitched out of it. I don't see how anyone could disagree. The stuff is just not great.

I think the stuff was quite a bit better today than at any other point this year.  Not really sure he's more than a backend starter or swingman type but his stuff was without question better today.

I disagree.  And you said "mediocre", not "great".  I disagree with "mediocre".

What was the xBA of each of the three infield hits he gave up in the 4th inning?  A few feet either way and there's no traffic.

And how much time did his offense give him to rest between innings?  That has an effect.

You don't have to throw hard to be a good pitcher.  Plenty of examples of that.

Any chance we can get Webb at the trade deadline?

We have Webb at home (Harrison)

I mean he is like the #8 or #9 starting pitcher in a healthy Brewer rotation. I would suspect his stuff is as good or better than most starting pitchers buried that far on their team depth chart.
