  1. Also from a roster limit standpoint, it's easier to stash someone on an ACL squad than AAA or AA where they have lower roster limits.
  2. Because he gave up a HR to a guy who got MVP votes each of the last two seasons?
  3. They're different. The last one I had (iLife, bought on Amazon) had a tendency to get stuck on rugs and not roll off of them. When I bought a new one (eufy, Amazon) I searched product specs and reviews to see if they had a tendency to get stuck, and this one does not. There is one little place where the stairs are bolted into the floor where it will get stuck for 15 seconds, but eventually backs out of there. It has never gotten permanently stuck anywhere. Regardless of whether it's a robot or human-powered vacuum, you have to pick up power cords.
  4. I'm all for trading from MKE's deep farm system to upgrade the roster. I started a thread on which top prospects people would be willing to part with. My first sentence in that thread was that you have to give up quality to get quality. I'm willing to give up top prospects. I just don't place as much value on Paredes. He's not a great defender, and bad defenders force pitchers to throw more pitches. More pitches = more bad pitches thrown = more big hits and runs given up. More pitches also = more wear on pitcher's arms, fewer innings covered, and the last thing the Brewers need is fewer innings covered by their pitchers. It all depends on what teams are going to be selling in late July. We don't know that yet. Some teams that were out of it a month ago are back into it. So, it doesn't really pay to speculate on that for another 3 weeks or so.
  5. The one big difference is that robotic vacuums just go until they hit something and then pivot a random number of degrees. Robotic mowers map your lawn and go in a systematic pattern. Much more efficient. That, and mowers have much bigger wheels so they don't get stuck on small bumps. I think you need to get better robotic vacuums.
  6. Brewers could use a fresh arm, so I wouldn't be surprised if Kuhnel is DFA'd tomorrow and Easton McGee is brought up. Kuhnel has pitched two days in a row. McGee last pitched on 6/26 for 2/3rds of an inning. throwing only 15 pitches. Not ideal, but when you have Priester and Zerpa out for the year and Hall, Henderson, and Crow also on the IL, you're going to get to the end of your 40-man roster.
  7. Just seems like every night it's someone different. Hamilton last 7 days: 833 OPS; last 28 days: 771 OPS Turang last 7 days: .500 OPS. last 28 days: .713 OPS Frelick last 14 days: .773 OPS Yelich last 14 days: .571 OPS Mitchell last 28 days: .793 OPS: last 14 days: .618 OPS Vaughn last 14 days: .688 OPS
  8. They're like robotic vacuums. When they reach a hard edge like a sidewalk or the street the sensors pick that up and they turn around. Just like with vacuums - when they get to stairs the sensors pick up a lack of a surface below and turn around. I've had robotic vacuums for well over a decade and have never had one go down the stairs. Robotic vacuums also have a digital barrier you can set up that the vacuum won't cross. If you have heavy tree cover and no fence, the GPS might not be able to pick up boundaries of the property and you might have to bury a wire. You'll still need a trimmer for edges.
  9. When I read that article, I see what I was referencing: "We're high on him," coach Scott Skiles said. "We think he has a lot of potential. He's just learning. He's trying to learn our defensive schemes, so he's getting taken advantage some by some veteran guys. But he's got all the tools. Offensively, he's a pretty well-rounded player right now, but obviously because of his age, we think he's going to get a lot better." "At that time, we just felt [Luc] Mbah a Moute was a better defender and [Mike] Dunleavy was a better offensive player, and Tobias didn't get as many minutes. But we were high on him. At that point, Skiles was coaching for his job, which meant wins, and playing young players like Harris was at that point compromised the defensive schemes. Use of the word "we" instead of "I" doesn't sound like giving up on him, but I guess it depends on who "they" are, Whatever. And I think you can agree that they made a lot of trades that didn't make sense. They traded down in both the 2012 and 2011 drafts, so they didn't exactly value draft picks then.
  10. Looks like a blessing that Terrion Arnold was taken one pick before GB drafted Jordan Morgan...
  11. Koenig's velo is down a little, but it seems like Ashby has taken over as the late inning/high-leverage LHRP role anyway. Hopefully Koenig is more of a middle-innings guy for now and not thrust back into late inning/high-leverage.
  12. The one I see as the most valuable to keep is Wagoner. He's been throwing upper 90's and it has not been uncommon to see him go 2 innings. Relief pitchers are possibly the easiest to stash, and anyone throwing 98/99 is going to be given plenty of opportunities to succeed/fail. He's come back strong from injury and this year so far is at 18 IP (13 G, so several multi-inning outings), 10 H, 4 BB, 26K. I think he's a lock. Like others, the issues with Williams and Adams revolve around defensive homes. I could see Adams as that backup corner IF, not good enough to play regularly at 3B but maybe good enough to play there in emergency. As others have said, more than likely trade candidates, particularly considering that teams place more value on players at AA and above. Williams just hasn't hit enough, but could be taken as a backup utility IF. I do think that Wilken's eye/depth perception issues (not something you want to broadcast, and likely HIPAA PHI anyway) have resurfaced, and wonder if he would even pass a physical with another team. Kuehner's injury will likely keep teams away, but teams have been known to take flyers on LHP. Holub is possible, but the numbers aren't quite as impressive as Wagoner and he's already 27 and will be 28 at the time of the Rule 5 draft.
  13. Cubs equivalent of trading for Jake Woodford. You have to overpay this far before the trade deadline.
