What is the record for most double plays recorded by a team in one game? (3 in 3 innings thusfar.)

I don't know, but I'm guessing Carlos Silva was involved.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

I don't know if I've EVER seen the #8 guy be asked to sacrifice bunt. Maybe I just don't remember it, but it's obviously not sound strategy.

Well I'm glad you're the expert. With nobody out and guys on 1 and 2, putting guys on 2 and 3 with one out isn't a good idea? It doesn't matter WHO is up. Cappy is a pretty good hitter for a pitcher besides.

I dont want to sound greedy but 3 double plays in 3 innings is pretty pathetic.

Good job hitting with RISP today, but the DPs hurt big time.

Not with your pitcher up. Nope. Now obviously you disagree with everyone just about everyone else on this topic (and many others) so I guess there's nothing more to say.

Wow, check out our batting averages.

Weeks: .274

Overbay: .274

Jenkins: .275

Miller: .276

Branyan: .276

What are the chances of having 5 people so close in batting average!?! Kind of cool.

Capuano has a boke move.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

What you're not understanding is the high rate of failure in MLB. Just because Hardy is hot does not mean anything other than that he still has a 65% chance of FAILING. I'd rather have guys on 2 and 3 with one out when even if a guy fails we can still score a run. Insead we left guys on 1 and 2 with 1 out and a double play in tact with the pitcher up.

It'd be ever cooler if the averages read ".319, .320, .321, .318"

Right now, they are kinda mediocre.
