First of all, here's the background on the Sounds' Hispanic alter-identity. 

Yes, LHP Clayton Andrews allowed a two-run single upon entering the game in the 4th, but the subsequent three scoreless innings he gave Manager Rick Sweet were big. Starting RHP Caleb Boushley's control issues in 2023 have been uncharacteristic.

The six K's vs. zero walks for RHP Stiven Cruz was encouraging. Easy math when combining the two Brewer Nicaraguan RHP's on Saturday: Rodriguez / Cruz 17 K's, zero walks. Cruz is actually two weeks older than his compatriot, and still plenty young for High-A!

Lineup-wise, this group is pretty much "it is what it is". Eric Brown, Jr., with ten hits in his prior four games, was 0-for-5 here. Robert Moore and his sub-.200 average sat this one out.
