Breakdown / Highlights
It was another tough week for the Brewers despite starting the week with a pair of victories in Houston, as the offense finds itself sputtering. The direct result of those struggles has already seen the end of the Vinny Capra experiment, who was DFA’d by Milwaukee on Friday, as well as heightened playing time for bench bats like Jake Bauers. Needless to say, the largest question that looms over the Brewers now is whether or not the offensive production will come from struggling stars like William Contreras, Christian Yelich, and Jackson Chourio, or will it come in the form of a trade?
If the first option is what the Brewers are betting on, here's a sign with Yeli and Wild Bill going back-to-back on Mother's Day.
There was some promising signs on the pitching front though, as Jose Quintana bounced back from a rough start in Chicago with 5.1 innings of one run ball on Friday, and despite being optioned to Triple A to make room for the return of Brandon Woodruff, Tobias Myers delivered his best start of the season, matching Quintana’s line of 5.1 innings one one-run baseball in his start against the Astros. On that note, Brandoon Woodruff is slated to return next week, and here’s why you can be excited about that.

If you missed it, Jackson Chourio was named the Hitter of the Month for April, and in the minor leagues, Jacob Misiorowski is continuing to make a name for himself.
