  1. Honestly your cutting it a little close. I remember when I went at noon last time Yost, Wise, Villaneuava, Braun, Gallardo all had already come. I think you can still get some autos, but I doubt a lot. You shouldn't have to worry too much about the time because everyones pretty much there by 3:00 or 3:30! Good Luck!
  2. "Literally, a couple of bucks. I'm not an autograph expert but it seems to me that people are wise to the fact that eBay is a dumping ground for fake garbage and it's driven the prices way down. " When I think about it I lose quite a bit of money. Let's say I get a ball signed by Prince Fielder will just say its worth about $50. Well, first off their is the $15 for the ball, $20 for gas (1 hr commute), about another $15 for a ticket, and another $10 for food. I never make money and frankly I don't care(I'd never sell it anyways). For me its about 50 yrs from now showing my grandkids what an autograph of Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun looked like. The people that try to sell this styff off p me off, because there ruining the genuine quality of obtaining autographs. I remember being 10yrs old and getting Shawn Green's autograph and just shaking when obtaining it because he was the MVP of the league, I didn't care about what some stupid book told me what it was worth! I really hope those people who try to profit from this take their money and put them you know where, because its taking away from the experience of young fans that could possibly make them baseball fans for life!
  3. I really did want to punch him the face, but to me even acknowledging somone like that is giving them more than they deserve. It really is sad that the collectors and ebay people ruin it for the real fans. I talked to one guy who had Craig Counsells autograph over 20x and he was angry he stopped signing for him. Rickie Weeks, Counsell, Shouse and others rarely sign because they are sick and tired of their stuff ending up on ebay. You know what I don't blame players that don't sign autographs, because what they think they are signing for a six year old kid is actually going to his 40 yr old dad, so he can make a couple bucks on the internet, that kind of stuff really angers me!
  4. Our all players signing autographs? I'm a little confused as to whether Yount, Molitor, or Fingers are signing or are just going to be in attendance.
  5. BHF, I believe your refering to me. Now I don't know this because this is my first year getting autos at the players lots but one of the regulars was telling me July and August are really bad months. Players are tired from the grind of the game, and therefore don't sign as much. For me there was a huge contrast in the players I obtained in May than in July, but it could have just been the day because I've only been there a handful of times. Now, I'd still reccomend going because I've never been turned down by Hardy, Jenkins, Mench, Suppan, or Wise. BHF and myself I believe are going tomorrow so maybe we can give you guys some kind of report or hopefully see you down there. PS. I don't have a problem with the groupies, but there is this one guy who is an absolute jerk. He called Corey Hart an ****** after the game because he was walkin his 3 kids to his cars and couldn't sign autographs. From what I've heard this is isn't first time doing it, and it just absolutly disgusts me that someone could be that conceted!
  6. I received an Eric Byrnes signed MLB baseball when the D-backs were in town right by their dugout. It is signed in blue pen right under the MLB logo. I like Byrnes, but have decided to focus my collection more towards Brewers and young prospects. I'm willing to consider any reasonable offer whether its money, other autographs, or baseball cards. Items I am in need of our Ben Sheets or Fransico Cordero autographs, the Matt Garza bobblehead, and this one may be shot in the dark but a Carlos Triunfel autographed baseball from the Timberrattlers who I missed by one week. Just remember pm with any type of offer you consider fair!
  7. It almost hurt watching Cappy walk off the field last night to a bunch of booing fans...they just don't remember what he's meant to us in the past couple years because they weren't there. Couldn't agree more. To see the most fan friendly player in the MLB get booed like that made me sick. I'm just so angry at people who think players aren't allowed to have a bad stretch once a year. The same thing happened to Turnbow last year, and he was just the nicest guy before his meltdown, but know he really stays away from the fans because he was sick of their crap.I hope Cappy realizes that it was just the bandwagon booing and not the true brewer fans!
  8. I'm a big fan of Estrada's hummer H3! Man, that will really leave you incognito from the fanshttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif .
  9. Was at the Fielder and Hardy Signing. Lots of people as expected. I got a 8x10 autographed by Prince, way too many people to go back to get J.J. Prince personalized my photo and it looked like everybody elses as well when I was in there. For me that wasn't that big a deal because I don't plan on selling it anyway. I felt kind of sorry for JJ, because when he and Prince where there at the same time people had to choose lines, and there were only a handful of people in his line. Does anybody know if JJ changes signatures for paid shows, because my friend got his autograph on a ball and it was very hard to read? All in all very happy with the results of tonight.
  10. Through the mail I didn't have good luck with brewer players this spring training. I sent SASE to Cory Hart, Jeff Suppan, Ryan Braun, Coco, Bill Hall, and Zack Jackson, and the only player who returned was Zack Jack. However, I didn't have that great of luck overall, because out of the 25 players I sent to the only players who returned were Zack Jack,Lyle Overbay, Mike Mussina, Michael Young (Postcard). I wouldn't hold your breath for Jenkins because in my experience he hasn't returned often, but I would try Ben Sheets because I sent a card out last season and he returned it in a week. Turnbow is an excellent signer. I went to get an autograph of him at the clubhouse store last year and he showed up a half hour early. That really left me with quite the impression. P.S. Does anybody know if any of the old braves will be signing on braves day?
  11. There were also some really good deals from the sports memorbilla vendors. I got a signed Paul Moliter 8x10 for $25, and the only reason it was marked down was because he was in a Twins uniform. After that, I refused to look at any more items, and I spent the rest the time kicking myself for only bringing $30.
  12. Thats cool for 8x10's, but does anybody know the best way to remove pen signatures from balls without wrecking the ball? I'm just interested, because i just started collecting autographs of top prospects at beloit, and I know undoubtly some of them will join the Mark Newfield- J.M Gold club.
  13. Jason those are awesome photos! Wow, I have some work to do before I'm even in your guy's ballpark for collectibles. If i had a Robin Yount bat like that I think there would be a no breathing policy issued in my room.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. Bobblehead Dude, Your right its okay for you to call him wrong, but when he calls you wrong its a personal attack. If you have a problem with a site that he very clearly stated was a personal opinion of a small amount of averages, than I think you should suggest us to visit your site. Oh wait, you don't have one!
  15. Obviously I would love to have him on the team. I agree with AJAY that we need more proffesional 300. hitters, because if were not gonna bring in that protopical clean-up guy were gonna need people who can find ways on and know how to move runners over. I say sign him and move him back to third and bat him in the #2 hole. I know he doesn't have the strongest arm, but neither does Koskie.
