  1. All I know is that with a rotation that included Sheets, Capuano, Suppan, Bush and Vargas... I would feel comfortable entering any game thinking we had a decent shot at winning. Particularly 1-4. And you still have a Villanueva waiting to step in if someone goes down. I agree the asking price seems high... but what else can we get? (Personally, I would love John Garland in a trade for his contract the next two years, but I don't see that happening)
  2. One thing getting lost here is Suppan's post season contributions. If you check out his post-season numbers, they have been very impressive (save one 2004 WS start). I say, sign him!
  3. Although I am not ready to advocate a Hall and others for Wells deal, I don't buy the argument that Bill Hall will be as good or better than Vernon Wells in '07. Wells isn't being talked about as a $17 million / year guy for nothing? My hunch is that Hall's arby ruling won't sniff the interest that makes in a year. This kid can flat out play, and has the gold gloves to prove it. I like Billy alot, but he is not Vernon Wells. That said... you are right... it is Novemebr and the Packers and Bucks suck. Let the wishful thinking commence!
