  1. I dont have time to add anything, but here: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=8585&position=SS Under plate discipline.
  2. I don't think it's really a "What happened to cause this?" type of situation. His minor league control numbers have always struggled (4.5 BB/9 over 400+ innings). If you look at his career stats, 2005 is the year that jumps out as a fluke. It isn't like he was always a highly regarded prospect who lost it. We found him on the scrap heap, harnessed his control for about 200 games and then just like that, it was gone again.
  3. Hey, I'm going out Sunday to watch the packer game, but its also a big fantasy football playoff weekend. Does anyone know of a bar (I'm in Franklin) or restaurant that has sunday ticket and plays multiple games? I was going to call Champs @ Southridge? Suggestions?
  4. Anyone remember the White Horse Inn in Madison? That was awesome but it closed like a year ago.
  5. Small sample size but Weeks is hitting .273/.369/.432/.801 not counting his 3 walks today post ASB.
  6. I just wanted to point out, that early on, people were talking up his performance with a sub 3.50 ERA in the A.L but his season numbers are starting to/have already regressed to the point where they aren't pretty anymore. Granted his ERA is now inflated by a gruesome 2 IP, 9 ER performance in his last turn, but overall: 125 IP, 4.46 ERA, 1.52 WHIP 85 K, 64 BB This isn't really meant to be an "I told you so" or anything to anyone, just pointing it out, as I didn't even realize it until I came across his name in my fantasy league. I understand he's still 23 and could turn it around, whatever, I was just still thinking he was mowing down the AL West when apparently they've caught up to him. (edit: more specific thread title --1992)
  7. 2005: 67 Innings, 64 K, 24 BB, 1.74 ERA, 1.08 WHIP Pretty lights out.
  8. Yes Ryan Braun is really good by any measure. But Runs Scored is just like RBI, it really has more to do with whether your teammates hit you in, or are on base so you can hit them in.
  9. Stats are just a written record of what ACTUALLY happened during a game and thus really can't be irrelevant.
  10. What does this mean? Braun and McLouth are having very similar seasons.
  11. Do you actually believe this? It's pretty clear, man, if, Braun's teammates are NEVER on base, how can he rack up RBI's? And if his teammates are horrible offensive players, how can they hit him in? Even if his OBP is .500? And about his hits total. It's a fine accomplishment, and Braun's having a pretty good season. But in all of MLB, only 21 players have made more outs this season than Braun. Lance Berkmanhas 13 fewer PA but 51 less outs. The MOST important thing a player (and the only thing he really has direct control over) can do in an AB, is NOT make an out.
  12. This place was called nikegolf.net before it was brewerfan.net? Does that count? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif If so, I'm in
  13. Yeah I saw it last night too. I'm not normally that stoked for super hero movies (I haven't actually seen and Spiderman or Xmen movies) but this one was really awesome. It has your attention the whole time and as is being repeated I finally see the hype for Ledgers performance. Hilarious, and creepy/scary sometimes within the same scene. Really fun movie and as the Joker really is a great character.
  14. I've messed with this before. You pick a general line, line up the putt and then just focus on the hole. The theory is that most amateur/weekend golfers struggle more with the speed. This kind of takes your brain (which gets in the way alot in golf) out of it and allows you to just roll the ball the correct distance. I think you'll be surprised how much it helps your speed on 25+ foot putts.
