This just reeks of desperation. I think Furcal is a good player, but certainly not worth that kind of money. Its like what happens when a guy gets dumped and he jumps on the very first girl he saw.

Am I the only one that isn't worried about the Marlins at all? I congratulate them about getting a new stadium because that old stadium was terrible. I just don't see the fans of Miami caring one bit about the Marlins. I am sure they will be sold out for most of that first season but what happens if the team under performs? Oh and this contract is way too much money for a guy like Reyes. He is a good player buy not worth 6/106

I love (sarcasm) how there is an apparent double standard in the Cardinals mind about how the game is played. I was listening to the post game audio with TLR and if he is not booed mercilessly tomorrow then I will be disappointed. Also since when is it OK to pitch inside against an opponent then when the team does it you then there are reasons to be upset. To me lately the Cards seem like a bunch of whiny girls then when things don't go there way they pout and and complain. I will take great satisfaction when we hang on and win the division.

All do respect but Gomez is about a 4 or 5. He has unbelievable speed and can advance on pretty much anything but he still makes some bone head errors on the bases.

no, Soriano is bad left. Braun is just about average. He will make the occasional great play but I would not say he was bad. Just my opinion though

actually its closer to Bradford beach, and I would recommend finding a place that you can hear the announcer. If you have never been to an airshow, it will help you understand the maneuvers that they are doing. Me personally, someone who has 200+ hours of flight time, its old hat to me. I get excited every year when the show comes and it was only intensified this evening as I was getting home downtown and I heard the F-22 raptor buzzing around on it demonstration flight. I can't wait to go either tomorrow or Sunday. :D

WTH!!! the game gets interuppted for a Memorial Day tribute? This is not something that could wait till the half inning? And now Narveson is on the hook for the loss

That was one of those decisions that could of gone either way. Narveson handled him both times up and his PC was OK. I could imagine that he wanted to get at least through 6. I would of taken him out though after the HR. That way he only had chance to get a no-decision. Now he has a chance to get a loss.

The video pretty much tells the story. I seem to remember just last week or so, Joe being involved in a controversial situation during the brewers game. My question is it time for MLB to fire him? He is quite obviously letting his ego get in the way of doing his job. I know from previous experience that an umpire is not supposed be seen in the game but rather heard, if that makes sense. And lately it seems like some umpires stir things up just for the fun of it.
