  1. So, just so I know.. you're upset about Mark Kotsay starting. The guy who, after a very slow start is currently riding a .388 obp and has been .500 obp and.929 ops for the last 7 days and .414 obp and .734ops the last 2 weeks. And you'd prefer.. who? Brandon Boggs? Really? Gomez has a .356obp and a .786ops the last week and has looked pretty good lately and absolutely amazing in the field. Maybe its time to lighten up a little and just enjoy some decent baseball?
  2. Everyone seems to be jumping on the Escobar SS for the brewers next season. I see no reason (other then the Indians taking him) to think Brantley can't be just as effective. Better then Gwynn for sure! A legit leadoff hitter who won't strike out. Something we absolutely need!
  3. Is Michael Brantley chopped liver? A good CF prospect with 5 things the Brewers absolutely need. Strike Zone Discipline. On Base Percentage Stolen Base Threat Left Hander Not to mention the guy can play solid Center Field. Outside of his ankle injury, he'd be having a statistical season of epic proportions in AA.
  4. If Ryan Braun admires his shots too much.. what about a comment or two from Kruk and/or Phillips about Aramiz Ramirez posing and posturing for a home run that was actually a double last night? Strangely silent. Yankees (The Bronx is Burning????). Red Sox. Mets. Cubs. The rest are afterthoughts.
  5. The thought crossed my mind that Vargas is the one that may be traded. Skip Bush, put Vargas out there and hope he raises his value. Showcase him for a trade and when it happens, bring Bush back into the rotation (or have Gallardo out of the pen after his next start and bring Bush back then). God knows there's enough teams looking for starting pitching and a 6-1 with a 4.09 ERA isn't something those teams will laugh at. Plus, you figure the next three starts for Vargas would be the Astros, Pirates and Nationals. Three teams that you could imagine would help raise his trade value some (9th, 15th and 16th in the NL in offensive runs) before the all star break.
