  1. What a joke. This is fitting that the Brewers finally score some runs and have a “comfortable” lead after the travesty of a series against the A’s, only to have Williams forget how to pitch. This team needs to go into a full re-build. Sell anyone that you can. They missed their window of winning a World Series when they refused to add offense to their stellar pitching. Doesn’t pay to hold on to any of their pitching at this point. If they don’t trade Burnes and Adames this mid-season they are making a mistake. Sad all around.
  2. Omg… I just got done comparing this to that putrid 5-game sweep against Pittsburgh as well.
  3. This series goes right along with the 5-game sweep at Pittsburgh going into the All-Star Break a few years ago. I believe that may have been a year where we actually made the postseason though (maybe even 2018!)
  4. Haven’t been impressed with Brosseau’s defense as of late. It seems like every game there are two or three hits to him, that while being somewhat difficult plays, end up with him getting the ball to first late or pulling the 1B off the base. It’s resulting in additional outs that our pitchers need to get.
  5. Yes, they surprised me by scoring that run in the 10th, especially since they didn’t get a hit. They pulled it off though, which was a pleasant surprise. It just had a the feeling of being one of those gut-punching losses.
  6. Yep, I can’t stand walks in that situation. They seem to hurt you more often than not in those tight situations.
  7. This will be a tough loss. We had this game and a stupid 2-out walk ends up killing us. To Carpenter nonetheless, and then Grisham with the HR, and Hader will dominate us. Uggh
  8. It seems like Yelich must lead the league in watching fastballs right down the plate for strike three.
  9. Not a fan of the all-or-nothing offense trend. Unless we can turn this around in two outs all three losses will be shutouts. Yuck.
  10. Burnes is pitching himself back into where the Brewers can afford him…
  11. It’s weird being excited for at-bats… as long as they aren’t Yelich, Adames, or Tellez.
  12. I know it’s only a few games into the season but I’ma big fan of the approach of these young guys. Hitting fired contact vs. trying for a home run is a much more exciting style of play in my opinion. Of course the rest of the team that’s still trying for home runs continues to strike out often.
  13. I think this is part of it. I’ve heard multiple people say that since they can’t watch the games on tv anymore they don’t follow the Brewers very closely. The stupid MLB blackout rules are actually hurting popularity and attendance. I keep Directv as my provider so that I can watch the Brewers year-round.
  14. I’m glad. I’m surprised it took 8 weeks or so for the first communication to come out. You think the team would have interviewed him or something and put it on social media, considering he’s our big acquisition this off-season.
  15. Bumping this as I still haven’t seen any comments or interviews from Contreras since the trade. I still find that concerning.
