So do you like this trade better than the previous rumor of Cain for Bouchey or Mike Minor from the Braves? Pitching calibar difference is large but would not have included Jack O, Escobar or PTBNL.

As for gutting the system, I would say that is a short-term view. We have 2 1st rd picks in one of the best draft classes in sometime in 2011. Then when Fielder leaves, the 2012 draft we will have 2 1st rds and a supplemental. So we will be able to re-stock the minors fairly soon in the lower depths........

MLB Trade Rumors website had an interesting snipit on possible bad contract trades. They mentioned people like Suppan and Willis. So what do you think? Would you give up Suppan and his 2 years reamining for Willis? Can we restore Willis to his old form thus making his big contract more manageable?
