  1. I only wish that St Louis would have hired Andy to be THEIR hitting coach, instead. 2022: Goldschmidt. 216-11 HRs-50 RBIs-200 KS Arenado: .215-14 HRs-46 RBIs-205 Ks...you get the idea.
  2. Again, thanks, sveuwmrules. I so badly want to end St Louis's winning streak, send a message and all that. Tonight may not actually be a "must-win", but if we lose to them again, they get bolder, and momentum is building. Anything but a sweep.
  3. Nice work, sveumrules! May I ask: Did we score a lot of runs in some of those 1st, 2nd and 3rd innings, to skew the overall totals? It would be helpful to know, because WAY too often, the Brewers are dazzled by the SP, the first time through the order, but then we adjust (too often, after falling behind, and more often, to a bum starter with an ERA over 5). If it's available to you....thanks
  4. Too bad it's Vogelbach up now. Aside from JBJ and a couple of relievers, literally everyone else is better
  5. And another K for Yelich. By sheer reflex, I saw Kolten at first, down 2 runs, and I clapped my hands and said "C'mon! Tie this up!" What a fool I was
  6. Far be it for me to question CC. OK, I wasn't going to stop there. But how much longer does Yelich continue batting 2nd, slowing down/killing rallies as he guesses wrong on strike 3, or he passively rolls one into the shift? Are beat reporters even asking about Yelich anymore?
  7. Never said CC was wrong or crazy or anything, but record aside, wouldn't you want to squeeze the life out of the Cubs today with a sweep? Just questioning the timing of all this, which is what a fan forum is all about, right? I hope like hell, I'm proven wrong!
  8. I'm sure CC has his reasons, but... - But after getting 2 hits in an inning!...why would he bench JBJ the next day? Jackie's always been streaky, so maybe, with a little success on Monday, he could keep playing? Hell, we've had to endure Bradley's barrages of 0-for-4's, so even if he did draw a collar last night, so? - But with the chance to really step on the Cubs today, like a cigarette butt, why experiment with Ashby now? The freakin' Pirates are up next, and Burnes could've sent Chicago's batters into a deep funk for the weekend. - But if Ashby needs a roster spot, which reliever gets demoted? Didn't seem like the best timing all around.
  9. Thank goodness Bud Black doesn't feel like playing his best lineup either. Because Lauer against Tapia, Blackmon and McMahon would not be Must See TV. Now The Great Vinny Rottino is on TV. We need a scorecard for the announcers
  10. And "that quirky Dim Tillard - he's different! He has a Dallas Braden beard!" is not a good fill-in. Yesterday, he surmised that Kolten Wong left the game because, after getting on base 3 times, "he was too tired." Today, he missed the fact that Omar Narvaez has batted 2nd, 8 times this year. He said Fuentes calls his cousin, Nolan Arenado, "Cousin Nolan!" which was lame. And then he doubled down just now on that ridiculous "Kolten Wong was tired" narrative. I'll try to sync up the radio broadcast...
  11. Do we have a hitting lab like the pitching lab Burnes was sent to? My god, if we DO have one, it's as abandoned as an opera house in The Ozarks. And if our hitters ARE hitting the lab, everyone working there must be let go, and the whole facility must be burned to the ground.
