  1. Is that the JP Howell from U of Texas pitching against Nashville tonight??? Talk about flying up through the system with great numbers at each stop... Wow... The amazing thing is that he started in the "hitter friendly" High Desert and Cal League and posted a 3-1 record in eight games with a 1.98 ERA. It looks like he had no problem with the friendly confines...
  2. Sports Network does not count the batting stats for pitchers individually, it lumps them in to all others. But they will list a postion player's pitching stats. I believe this is why Henderson is now listed in the postion player's column, so he can have both his hitting stats and pitching stats listed, but it doesn't have anything to do with the Brewers grand plan for him.
  3. The Mavericks internet broadcast is down due to major issues with the local radio station. To listen to the game head on over here. www.jethawks.com/listenlive.ram Sorry about the inconvience.
  4. The TBA pitcher might be Costello since he was just promoted yesterday.
  5. From just reading about it, it doesn't sound like they are"popping" off to the media. It sounds like HD has legitimate concerns and frustrations thats all.
  6. Obviously, in HD there are communication issues for what ever reason. No matter what the reason, it still doesn't seem like good practice to not speak with your affiliates, even if it is just one or two. And maybe the reason we haven't heard anything from Huntsville or Beloit is the fact that they are winning.
  7. It sounds like there are huge communication issues with the Brewers and their affiliates when it comes to player development. It doesnt make a ton of sense for the Brewers to not talk to the front offices of their affiliates. It sounds like the High Desert isnt ideal for pitchers with the altitude and the heat but there are much, much worse situations and stadiums for the Brewers to end up in. In any case, if all of this is true then it doesnt excuse the fact that there is no communication between parent club and affiliate. Stu
